Accept– “LORD, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure.” (Psalms 16:5 NIV) My acceptance of God’s daily provision for me: spiritually, emotionally, physically, materially will fill me with contentment.
Yield– When I let go and allow Him to have His way, I have peace. “And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. (Phillippians 4:7 AMP)
Remember– My focus on God’s words in Isaiah 43:1 NLT, “Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you, I have called you by name; you are mine.” gives me the assurance I need.
What an incredible thought that God calls me by name…and He calls me His very own. As if on the bottom of my foot were written “God’s,” like the character, Andy in Toy Story, did to his toys. Yet, God loves me far more than a toy! Ransom is the act of freeing someone from captivity or punishment with payment, it involves an exchange. Jesus made that exchange for me; my sin for His righteousness, My life for His!
I am named. I am called. I am purchased. I am His.
…I CAN trust Him.
